  • Do I need to be an international student or a part of Telfer to join Telfer International?
    No, you do not need to be an international student or a Telfer student to join Telfer International. Telfer International is open to all students attending the University of Ottawa.
  • What are the benefits of joining Telfer International?
    We aim to engage students with a more international lens of the world while providing opportunities within all professional streams of business. By joining Telfer International, members gain benefits in three main pillars; Social & Fun, Career, and Learning & Education Social & Fun: In this category, TI offers the fun and social opportunities critical to the balance of the life of someone in their twenties. This is your time to learn from others and listen to a different perspective. We believe that a lot of learning can flourish from these types of relationships. Career: Telfer International is committed to offering international/ exchange/ and domestic students opportunities to network with other professionals and other students. This category is all about looking into the future and making connections with potential employers and business partners. Learning & Education: This category will be satisfied by the cultural series workshop offered by TI. In this series of info sessions, students will be able to learn some key survival tips in Canada and learn how to better adapt to their new surroundings.
  • How do I become a member of Telfer International?
    To become a member of Telfer International, follow these steps: Visit the Membership page on our website to explore the details of our available membership plans: Economy and Premium. You'll also find the membership form here. Fill out the membership form with your information and preferences. Additionally, select the appropriate membership level (Economy or Premium) and the associated fee. After completing the form, proceed to make an e-transfer payment for the chosen membership level's fee. Ensure that the e-transfer reference number is accurately noted in the designated section of the membership form. Once you've submitted both the form and the payment, our team will reach out to you shortly. If you selected the Premium Plan, our team will provide information about the pick-up times for the gift package that comes with your chosen membership. If you have any inquiries regarding Telfer International membership or the available plans, feel free to reach out to our Membership team at membership@telferinternational.com.
  • How do I join Telfer International team as an executive?
    To become a part of the Telfer International executive team, please follow these steps: Visit our website's Join The Team page, where we list our current executive position openings. To apply for any of the open executive positions, simply click on the "Apply" button associated with the position of interest. This will redirect you to the application page dedicated to executive roles. On the application page, you will find detailed job descriptions and specifications outlining the responsibilities and expectations for each executive position. Fill in and submit the application form for the desired position. Make sure to have your contact information and resume ready, as they will required in the application. Stay updated on new executive position openings by following us on Instagram: @telferinternational. Ensure you submit your application within the specified application period indicated for each position posting. If you are selected for an interview, our Internal Team will get in touch with you via email at internalaffairs@telferinternational.com. This email will provide further details and allow you to schedule a suitable interview time. Following your interview, you can expect to receive the interview results via email within 3-4 weeks. If you are selected for an executive position, you will have the option to either accept or decline the offer. Upon accepting the offer, both our Internal Team and the team associated with the position will guide you through the subsequent steps, which will be communicated to you through email.
